My current workflow is to create a common jar file for the default build, then update the jar with different files (same file names) for localized or customer-specific builds. If the files for the default stream are modified in source control, then the jar task does not update the localized files unless the localized files are also modified with newer file times than the default files. A "force" option on the jar task would allow me to easily update the generic jar with the localized files, rather than unjarring the jar, updating the overwriting the generic files with the localized files, and then re-jarring everything. Maybe there will be fewer bug reports about "why didn't the jar task update my jar?" if there are other users who need a "force" option.
