communication is important, community growth is vital.
Freenode is the de facto standard for

I disagree with this. For someone who's never used either, Slack has a much
lower barrier of entry, IMO.

Subject: [XenServer] 6.2.5?
Hi,
I see
Tina's work was just the xen-api.jar piece of that, so I think the 625 resource
is still relevant for the other changes.

Thanks, Tim, that's helpful. My question about API backwards compatibility was
also whether any API arguments or return values are of the form Xen currently
and would become XenServer after this change, for example because of changes
in some parsing code.

renaming with no other changes. Could you
confirm that?
Also, are there any backwards compatibility implications for the API? Or did we
already use XenServer instead of Xen there?

Actually, Alena has recently started a document:

I don't know how complete it is yet though.

+1. I find it confusing that Xen is used for XenServer rather than
XenProject, and I think it would be good to be explicit about which we mean in
each case.

I see that there are a bunch of similar-looking changes in the original
changeset. Maybe someone with awk-fu should check that the others are sound?

.
XenCenter has none of this knowledge hard coded, so anything visible in
XenCenter comes from XenServer over the XenAPI.

Not answering your question, but note that XenServer has two different
concepts: pause/unpause and suspend/resume. Normally you want suspend, which
suspends to disk; with pause, the VM will continue using memory. In fact, the
XenServer UI (XenCenter) doesn't even expose pause.
