Clearly I did something wrong:
http://vmbuild.apache.org/continuum/buildResult.action?projectId=74projectName=buildId=15727projectGroupId=0
Also, how can I manually kick-off a contunuum build and/or simulate
that environment on my computer? It builds and tests without error on
my system.

Hi!
Reading more, this (getSQLXML) sounds like a good reason to move to Java 1.6.
DB code is tied to JDBC, which is tied to version of Java. Java 5 is
dead and the only reason I'd heard to consider 5 was Android, which
doesn't feel like it should a big database client codebase.
So +1 to
Looks like myself, Gary Gregory, Henri Yandell, and Simone Tripodi are
all +1 on requiring Java 1.6. Sebb is a dissenting opinion, but
without an official -1.
When I get a chance, I'm going to change the pom to require Java 1.6
and make a note in the changes.xml file as well. If that builds with

What is the rule on when you can switch Java versions? Is going from
1.4 to 1.5 too small of a version number bump to require a different
version of Java? Would we need to wait until 2.0 to switch to Java
1.6?
Thanks...

I took a look at the Continuum build error from Nov 26th and the error is
that adding getSQLXML() in BeanProcessor.java requires
importing java.sql.SQLXML which was introduced in Java 1.6.
Currently DBUTILS is set to only require Java 1.5.
Thoughts?

One potential issue though, I have not created an Apache PGP key yet, so I
will not have a chance to get it signed by anyone. What is the protocol for
getting one's key signed?
Thanks...

Does anyone have thoughts on releasing commons-dbutils 1.5? There are
5 changes since 1.4 (issues 84, 77, 73, 67, and 66), and I think
that's probably enough to warrant a new release.
I'm new to this whole process, so I'm unsure as to what to do next.
Thanks...

Hi Bill,
Continuum just notified a build failure :P
If you intend to cut a new release, read our `Creating Releases` page
on wiki[1], count on me if you need help (I was the last on cutting a
DbUtils release)
Have a nice weekend, all the best!
