I've taken some time to separate the changes in the topp/wfs sandbox
into a handful of tickets:
* strategy enhancements: #1841
* save strategy: #1924
* gml enhancements: #1918
* filter enhancements: #1790 (depends on #1918 and sort of on #1843)
* sld enhancements: #1843 (depends
Unfortunately, the meeting didn't happen yet. We'll let the community
