Hello!

Because of issue 124551 (word completion suggestion all capitalized, word in database is mixed case) I stumbled in some other issues where I can not divide if it is a feature or a bug.

a) Issue 35724 - Word completion does not record words unless AutoSpellCheck is ON

This issue was marked as DUPLICATE of
Issue 35015 - Spellchecker picks wrong text samples
- I don't understand why -
but that is marked as CLOSED FIXED.

Now: The word completion of AOO 4 record all words (if long enough) if AutoSpellCheck is OFF. But with AutoSpellCheck ON words that will redlined by the spellchecker will not collected for word completion. In German there are many compound words (like the example BWL-Vorlesung in issue 124551) which are not recognised by the spellchecker.

For me this is a BUG.

But I don't know if this is related to issue 37577 (Autocompletion should accept only correctly spelled words)?

I doesn't find any specification or issue which brings clearness.

b) With AOO 4 the behaviour of Word Completion was changed, so that now if one type the first letters of a word in uppercase the complete word is suggested in uppercase.
Where can I find the specification or issue for that?

This brings us to the initial issue 124551. If a word with capitalised letters is collected, this should be the first suggestion. The complete capitalised word should be reached via shortcut like words which have the same first letters.

Greetings, Mathias
