I have a number of Office files saved on a hard drive from my G5 Mac (now
deceased) and I cannot open them on my new Mac Lap top (OSX 10.8.5.) I would
like to know if there is any software that I can get to access these files or

1. Open Openoffice Writer.
2. Go to File - Open
3. Select the filetype (doc, docx).
4. Go to the directory with your files, and open them.
