It's been proposed on the PMC mailing list that we put out a new 4.0.1
release to incorporate bug fixes since 4.0.0
Since that is a public dev matter, and there were no objections raised,
I'm moving further discussion here to the pubic dev mailing list.
I'm volunteering to manage the release. First step will be to go through
open bugs that are targeted for 4.0.1 to determine if they can be closed
or targeted for a future release.
If there are any open bugs that do not already have a 4.0.1 target that
you think really should be fixed for this release, or even better that
you can fix in a quick, simple, and safe enough manner to justify
getting in to this release, please speak up.
