Hi,

The last few weeks have seen a lot of positive OLPC and Sugar
development activity. In the same vein, we're progressing on the
Dextrose-3 development roadmap [1]. This mail is notification for the
Alpha-2 development release. Once again, this release has been made
possible due to close collaboration between OLPC, Sugar, OLPC.au and
Activity Central

==Key points==
* Rebasing Dextrose-3 patches on top of sugar-0.93.4
* Fixing high-priority issues as per Feature Freeze [2]

==What comes next?==
Um... Alpha-3 (what else did you expect ;-)?

Okay, there will likely be a rpm update or another development build
(before Alpha-3 due on 17th October)

Broadly, we're done or very close to completion of most of the
development. By Alpha-3 Dextrose-3 will start to have 'proper' testing,
have a well defined Activity list, and most of all, bug-fixes!

So, test, test, test! If you find a problem, open a ticket in
bugs.sugarlabs.org and remember to add the 'dx3' keyword to it.

==Bugfixes==
Note: This list does not contain the sugar bugs fixed between
0.92.4-0.93.4 (and whose patches have been upstreamed) or the OLPC bugs
fixed during that period

* au#886 Control panel -> Accessibility -> "Cancel" button doesn't work
* au#851 yum transactions can be interrrupted
* au#825 Software Update fails to upgrade content bundles
* au#747 Older activities can overwrite newer ones
* sl#3082 Check if flash in dx3 is click to enable

==Activity version updates==
* Browse-126
* Chat-71
* Distance-28
* FotoToon-9
* Maze-13
* Memorize-37
* Pippy-41
* Ruler-12
* Speak-31

P.S. This mail (and the release) was due out a few days ago, but got
delayed because I had a fight with my ISP and my connection got severed.
A few 'chosen' words in exotic Indian languages later, I have a new ISP
and 8x faster internet, yay! ;-)
