First I had to add CFLAGS=-L/path/to/gwlib to ./configure.
Also I had to change the Makefiles in ./ and ./mmlib and ../mmsc because my
gateway-1.4.0 subdirectory was not in the standard place.
I had to do this, even when I added --with-kannel-dir= to my configure.
