No you haven't missed anything. A certified hardware/software device list
is on the 'wish list'. In the mean time, the best reference would be to

the default config Telnet, port 23. You need to configure PuTTY to use SSH,

there are three key commands that are used:

I entered DNS server 216.220.40.243 during control console configuration
however this entry is replaced with 192.168.1.1. Visible under 'Review

We borrowed the code from Linux Mandrake, which explicitly enables it
for hard drives only. The performance win on tape drives is
not all that
big and each type of device needs different handling. We are
turning on
more than DMA - we are also doing block affinity and a few
other things.
Errors and module output are still overwriting the e-smith server and
gateway control console.
