I use Innoport. It's not free - $4.95 a month - but I get email recordings of
my calls, which is great when I travel. Can also receive and send faxes. I
haven't opted for their tollfree line, but it's available for more $.
There's a company called Better World Telecom that might

checking out. One can get a SkypeIn number (number that can be called
from cell and POTS) for approx $36 for a year. And it comes with voicemail.
Maybe that is good enough?
