PSKmail does ALL this, including message generation and management using
EVOLUTION (the Linux 'Outlook' program).
It does NOT run on any Microsoft operating system.
It does use less bandwidth than olivia.
It is being prepared for ALE (with PSK63 bandwidth).
It has a symmetrical (full duplex)
PSK Mail looks interesting despite the daunting prospect of installing
a Linuk OS. However, my amateur radio set-up involves PC to radio
interfaces that require Windows based virtual serial ports for rig
control. How is rig control achieved with PSKmail?

Thanks Peter. I will try setting up a CD boot disk for linux and

Same here Paul. At home I only have Linux boxes and the same for the communications units I support. MS software is just too expensive to purchase and keep up and the virus and other malware is horrible.

Yes 200 WPM will do but 300-400 WPM or faster would be much better if the same SNR was maintained. However, if going to 300-400 WPM increases the SNR by 5 to 7 dB, then that would be acceptable.
For the time being, MT63 seems to be the mode
Andy,I see that you removed the complete

I had been receiving my first PAX2 transmissions using MultiPSK 3.13 but
then became aware that ver. 3.9 is available, so I downlaoded and
installed it, only to find that ver. 3.9 seems to be missing the PAX(2)
capabilities.
What's going on here?

Good points Walt. By the way, the hospital that employes me just
spent about $2000 on amateur radio equipment, all new, as a result of
Homeland Security (via the State).
As for you 40 and 80M nets, keep in mind that ALE could call your net

I'm sorry Tom but I do not run the Oliviadata Yahoo group, so I do

No...we monitor 75M in San Antonio (and perhaps another site) and 40M in Dallas and Atlanta or sometimes the reverse depending on what our propagation study for the instant says. We monitor from say 07:00 to 09:00.

Well I've looked at the Multiple_PSK for PAX2 specification and on the Web and find no description of the mode...how many tones/carriers, tone/carrier spacing, baud rate, modulation (except I suspect its PSK), etc.
