Although Bruce may have been joking, he probably reflects the feeling of
a very substantial number of hams. And something to consider, is that
perhaps the majority of hams, based on the very low membership
percentages of the ARRL.
Telling others to shut up, is highly counter productive, and

Rick,
You are correct in your statement. What ever product one is using may well be

understand how to use something that is new to them and right away it is the
most terrible thing they ever tried to use. Also it may

Welcome Jeff, you will have LOTS of fun with the digital modes. Any
particular time you have in mind? What HF bands can you operate on at the
moment? Do you need any help in getting your radio set up for the digital
modes?

As far as I can tell, nothing.
BUT it is -- in my humble opinion -- certainly the most attractive and
best organized piece of digital mode software I've ever seen. A really

Hello Jeff,
Congratulations on the upgrade. for BPSK31 your best bets are to poke
arounnd 3.580, 7.070 or 14.070 - that is where the bulk of activity
is depending upon conditions and time of day.
73 and good luck!

Before Simon gets insulted, I should add that it supports PSK 125 as
well as PSK31 and 63. Also QPSK for each of these.

It looks great!
It works great!
Today I made a pause on my sabatic leave on amateur Radio to try DM780.
Made a few QSO's and I think it does what it says.
The adition of modes as the time passes will make it a piece of software to
keep an eye on.

Yes, thank you I actually found it there on p64. On my computer I had

New modes will come for DM780, so I'm not too concerned about that.
I have to start somewhere, so decided on PSK/QPSK 31/63/125 as this is by
far the most popular mode. I decided to get the UI sorted out first rather
