I see a few new people have joined in the past few days, and they mentioned
they received new digital mode interfaces as gifts for Christmas. Welcome.
How about telling us what you received ? Anything we can help you with on this
maillist ?

Hello Andy,
Although I might not be considered a new member, I did receive a
Tigertronics Signalink USB under the tree last week. Quite a nice little
gift from Santa Claus, I tell you. My WINMOR scores and speeds have gone up
considerably and my retries have gone down - not much more to
Congratulations Rick, interesting to see the WINMOR improvments. Is it
better than your Rigblaster ?
Andy

that guy made some mods to the signalink to improve linearity and other

I have used a couple of programs for generating cw and have found that I
prefer a 'direct' keyed method (MixW) compared to the AFCW that some programs
use (FlDigi). Running Linux BTW here.
Was wondering why some programs used direct keying of the radio and others
have gone the AFCW method? Is
That's quite a sophisticated system you've made, very interesting. What is also
interesting is that the list had only one European station, so these tiddly
little sunspots are not really helping us to get across the pond.

It is working pretty good already and all of those surface mount components
scare me a little. I would need an electron microscope to make some of the
changes he suggests in the link.

NO- AFCW is NOT better, and if you use it, half your contacts with tell you
they hear some audio getting into your keying. I used it a few times, early
on, and that is the results. Remember, you also will be using SSB, versus
continus wave keying signals, and thus outputting less RF signal.
Yes, I'm asking a lot, but I need both HI and AK on 80, and I figure JT65 gives
me my best short (been trying CW and psk and it ain't happening)
So do we have any HI or AK JT65 users whoi want to give it a try with MA?
Thanks
David
