I have had several people tell me, via email, that it doesnt matter how much
power you use , as long as your signal is clean. So, yes, here we go again.
I start off with 20 watts, and if the other stations dont come back, I move
slowly (5 watts at a time) up to 40 or even 50 watts(if DX I need).
Listening to CY9SS on 1.828 and there is a rough
sounding tone continually coming on to of him. Its 300 cy wide.
Three second tone, then about 5 seconds of silence, then tone then silence
etc. Anyone know what it is? Appears to be purposely QRMing the
CY9.

I think most members are not going to be all that upset with what is in
effect a shrinking of the CW exclusive subbands (although they could be
used for other narrow band modes such as PSK31 and maybe some others
that have not been invented yet to fit in that size of bandwidth), a

subbands, they go where they want, when they want. Our SSB moving down any
bit at all, with simply cause them to come down below, and into the
CW/digital bands, to talk to each other and/or make DX contacts away from
our QRM/
I dont think anyone has said that band plans, just because they are
different than ours, are wrong. What has been said is that having different
band plans can lead to difficulties for one or the other, or both. If your
band plan allows your operators to work modes on frequencies where anothers
