Hi all,
I'm trying to do 2 things
1) get my ati video driver to work
2) get my mobo onboard intel audio driver to work
for 1) I'm just using a generic driver with the failsafe configuration
for X, and whenever I install the ati video driver using the hardware
manager and restart X craps out and
I think I speak for everyone who has a significant other, that February
14th is more or less impossible. (Well, I say impossible, but it goes
with the assumption that we would like to keep peace at home and/or in
our respective relationships.)

No sound, but no error might indicate a problem with one of the levels.
You might need to try several different mixers before you find one that
shows all the levels and mute options supported by your hardware.

Over the years I've found the Linksys routers to be THE LEAST reliable.
Mine have failed every year or 16 months like clockwork.
Belkin is good, so is netgear. Go with a midrange model. Configuration is
similar on most of the mid-range routers.
