Expanding clouds isn't HA. Failover clusters isn't HA. The AWS outage a couple of weeks ago is demonstrable proof of that. HA is a process. HA is a design philosophy. This blog post is a few months old now, but it is worth reading specifically because of the AWS outage a few weeks ago.
