I use TextMate (http://macromates.com/) ... it's by far the best
editor around. Mac only though, but IMHO worth the switch just for
this alone.
The only Windows editor that has the same features is jEdit, which is
amazing but ugly and hard to use. Some people get used to it and love
it though.
I use BBEdit. I used to stop random people on the street and
evangelize it. I don't do much HTML prototyping anymore but I still
love the program.

I use Homesite and TopStyle pro Or whatever text editor is available
on other systems

Dreamweaver. Used to be a Homesite fancier but the more recent
versions were such deaders that I decided to take the Adobe/Macromedia
hint and use Dreamweaver instead.
