My apologies for another threadless post in two days. I created the original post on the web form while looking at the [ANN] post that just came up at http://openoffice.org/projects/www/lists/discuss/archive/2011-09/message/2. Unfortunately, posting from the web form does not create a

Um, why which? Why being migrated, or why being combined with users? 1. The us...@openoffice.org and discuss@openoffice.org are noticed to be rather much of the same nature these days, so it is proposed that the counterpart of both at the Apache OOo Incubator be the single

It is my understanding that the OpenOffice.org trademarks and all of the various domain registrations are being transferred to the Apache Software Foundation. It might well be that a full-up site transfer can be pulled off, but it is the case that Apache infrastructure does not support

The Apache list is a new list, not a migration of any existing list. How it works with GMANE is however adding any lists that you read under GMANE works (i.e., subscribing via NNTP). If you subscribe to ooo-users@ incubator.apache.org directly, you will need to go through an e-mail

2011-09-19 Thread Dennis E. Hamilton
There is some talk about removing the old converters that import the old StarOffice binary formats into OpenOffice.org and LibreOffice. I don't think that has happened just yet. I would test both (say OpenOffice.org or LibreOffice 3.3.x stable versions) and make sure that some of your most

Because there was so much overlap of content between users@ OO.o and discuss@ OO.o, the going-in assumption is that ooo-users@ Apache OOo is the only one need at Apache. That can change. A good place to discuss it would be on ooo-us...@incubator.apache.org I want to be careful here: the
