#1 the url wont be c:/yadda/yadda Its a URL... #2 IIRC If I Recall / Remember Correctly (google it)
livedocs are your friend: http://livedocs.adobe.com/coldfusion/8/htmldocs/help.html?content=Tags_u-z_3.html I think doug is right, you can't do this with a pdf (make it modal)... try an IFrame thats probably the easiest approach.
