If you are reinstalling the same version of CF You can also copy all the neo-*.xml files out and just drop them back in after you are done. The CAR file method isn't 100% solid last time I tried it. It actually missed a few settings. -Cameron On Sat, Nov 1, 2008 at 11:54 PM, Moises Alejandro

One thing I've found with CAR files is that they seem to work better if you don't try to do it as one big archive. I split mine into multiples, by sections and they tend to behave better. From: Cameron Childress [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: discussion@acfug.org

Hi Cameron, So lets say I am using CF 7 and I install CF 7 on another system, and then I copy all the neo-*.xml files from old CF7 machine, which are located at C:\CFusionMX\lib to the new CF 7 machine. Does this mean that I would not need anything else to be done and my settings from old CF 7

That is what I am saying, yes. You could always create the CAR *and* also copy the XML files before you wipe the system. One or the other is bound to work. -Cameron On Mon, Nov 3, 2008 at 11:16 AM, Ajas Mohammed [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Hi Cameron, So lets say I am using CF 7 and I install
