If you are using the where2 example you will need to use the gis-
newforms mercurial branch.

If you have ubuntu you can:
sudo apt-get install mercurial
hg clone http://geodjango.org/hg/where2.0/
cd where2.0/ubuntu
more ubuntu_install.txt
(Follow the instructions from step 5)
