It is written for absolute beginners, and even includes a portable
Django development environment for Windows, so you don't have to fool
around with installing Django. The tutorial covers
djangobook.com is a great place to start

I would start with 'Dive into Python' or 'How to think like a computer
scientist in python' to gain familiarity with basic python concepts.
