Re: [DQSD-Users] Cannot make quick search bar permanent

2002-05-16 Thread John W. Bairen, Jr.

i'm looking at MSDN and here is an idea... all be it unlikely... is your
active desktop locked?

a.. Lock Desktop Items secures the size and location of Active Desktop
items. When Lock Desktop Items is selected, Active Desktop items cannot be
moved or resized.

[DQSD-Users] Fwd: Script errors w/search toolbar

2002-05-16 Thread David Bau

Another report from Clint Hamilton...

Hello, I installed your search toolbar and keep getting a
script error for it, (see attached screen shot).
Sometimes the error will be line 390. Regardless of
choosing yes or no, nothing happens afterward.

OS is win98, IE 5.01 SP2.

I think it would be a great idea to enable 'auto complete' on
the toolbar.
Thanks,
-Clint

2002-05-16 Thread John W. Bairen, Jr.

Dave,

as Glenn mentioned earlier, we may have inadvertantly upped system reqs. to
I.E. 5.5 or better. is it possible these folks are running I.E. 5.0? we
did have a guy who noticed that his script errors went away after he did
some I.E. updates from Windows Updates.

[DQSD-Users] RE: [dqsdd] Running programs

2002-05-16 Thread Nikolai Devereaux

now (at the risk of stepping over some line)

No lines crossed. I read my email primarily at work, and I only take the
time to answer questions on various mailing lists if I feel the person
asking the question deserves an answer.

I deleted the original post not so much becuase I was offended by it as much
as it just wasn't important to me to help out an asshole.

I tend not to believe the I've tried everything line without some sort of
list of what exactly was tried. I've spent too much time in too many
various industries where everyone seems to cling to this excuse for their
own failure, incompetence, or (most likely) lack of patience or willingness
to work it out on their own.

Take care,

Nik

[DQSD-Users] Currency converter doesn't accept decimal points

2002-05-16 Thread Brett Taylor

If I enter curr 35.95 usdnzd (new zealand dollars) I get USD$95...

Man, it's such a cool tool too :)

Something else to note is accuweather doesn't accept non-us cities even if
you supply the country name too. So I changed my * to Weather
Underground.

Cheers,
  Brett Taylor
