Actually, I've tried that too. You know what though,
this thing fixed itself. Don't know how. I didn't do
anything besides wait 30 minutes. I closed all
browsers several times before but that didn't do it.
Another Windows mystery.
If you don't mind, I have another question:
I believe this wasn't solved but if I DID want to open
a new window, how can I make it maximized?
Thanks Glenn.

Kwang,
What is your 'launchmode' set to? Along with
setting reuseBrowserWindowMode
to 1, try setting launchmode to 0.

Subject: [DQSD-Users] reuseBrowserWindowMode = 1
doesn't work
I thought Google's toolbar was the de facto tool,
but
Dave's beats it by a huge margin.
One question though: I've searched the faq, the
bug
report and the discussion group but can't seem to
find
how to produce searches in the same window.
Yes, I've changed to the following:
reuseBrowserWindowMode = 1
in both the localprefs and preferences files and
entered ! to update.
But I keep getting a new window for every search.
Thanks for your help in advance.
I'm using IE 6.0.2600 and it's set as the default
browser.
