Something in the radeon driver screws up when validating modes (compare
xrandr output with and without ddcmode on) on lcd panels connected via
dvi. There's a bugzilla entry for it, but I don't have the number at
hand.

Since the last reordering that fixed neverball, ut2k4 have had some very
annoying flickering on my rv250. Today I finally found a new ordering
that cures my problem without breaking neverball again. Please test on
r200/rv280 and commit if it doesn't break.

Under 2.6 you need to load both agpgart and the chipset specific agp
module (like via-agp, intel-agp, amd64-agp and others)

compiled dri from cvs and a new kernel at the same time, while
also using tvtime to watch tv and emacs (gnus) to read news, and
evolution, epiphany, x-chat rhythmbox was running in the background,
and the box remained as responsive as it was without the load!
