Hi Durga,
could you give some more details (stack trace).
Most probably you did not set up your smtp server correctly. Thus on
trying to send the registration email the register process fails.
Check the section Email Setting in your dspace.cfg, especiially:

these are dummy settings, you got to replace them with your settings.

Greetings, DSpace community,
Apologies to those for whom this message is duplicated; Mark Diggory
asked me to bring dspace-tech into the loop. I've kept the original

I want to thank everyone who has participated in this
Internal System Error means the actual error message is elsewhere.
Someone should inspect the DSpace and Tomcat logfiles to see what
happened. Until that is done, it is difficult to help.

Hi Sandy,
with which DSpace version did you start, have you done an upgrade from 1.2?
Did you change rights other than using the roles like submitter?

Hello,
I'm new to dspace and trying to upload using batch import.
When I do the batch import, there're no errors generated but when I go to
the URL for the collection, it doesn't show any submissions.
The command I run is:

Thanks for the response.
That was a typo, sorry.
The command I run is:

Thank you. Now I'm getting some where.
So I've changed the -s part from the command from -s /dspace/batch to -s

contents, and the actual file that's being uploaded) need to be in

Wait, are you putting your items for upload into your DSpace source or

like DSpace is getting very confused about file locations.
Probably not a good idea to do that, in any case. :) Items for upload

number of full-text items in our repository? These would be items
with the additional .txt file created after running media filter.
Thanks,

Ah, thanks Dorothea ... we were thinking format of .txt, but that
