Subject: Re: [Dspace-tech] Problem
Hi,
we're looking to implement DSpace 1.8.2 at our site with a non-default
PID service, e.g. EPIC. The documentation says we need not use CNRI's
Handle system, but are free to change the code to use something different.
Now, is there any other possibility than patching the DSpace code? If
not,
Hi all,
I need know more about the scheme of connection to the database from the
web interface, my question is whether all requests are interpreted by
local functions (which I access from the filesystem) or if the libraries
deployed in the war are sufficient to allow connections direct links
Ben,
This is is being caused within the Discovery configuration. Perhaps you
might post it and we can take a look at the setting you've changed there.
Best,
Mark

Hi Michael
Did you get same URL http://dolon.cput.ac.za:8081/xmlui; in previous
registration e-mails ?
Check dspace.url = ${dspace.baseUrl}/jspui in your dspace.cfg
Its a good practice to mention Dspace version and provide error logs when
sending query to Tech List.

Hi Luis,
it seems somehow you have a collection with unusual policies. Run the

OK, so you almost certainly use JSPUI. It's an old version, but I'll

I am trying to configure 1.8.2 to use xpdf to generate thumbnails. I build
with
mvn -Pxpdf-mediafilter-support package
and then copy the copy the target lib files and xmlui/WEB-INF/lib files to

Sure, I pass the address.

The problem is that is happening in all collections.

I just noticed that it's not just collection default policies. Any
item I tried to access is without Anonymous read access. Was it your
intention to create a dark archive or is it also part of the problem?

I'm not sure what the problem was but I rebooted the Centos
machine (/proc/meminfo showed only 1 00M of memory out of 12G's
available) and everything works as expected. I have another question
though. I'm getting some errors from the JPEGFilter trying to create
thumbnails for some GeoTiffs
