Thanks for the responses, both. Actually I think I've just stumbled on a

Hi all,
I am testing out the DSpace 5.3 upgrade on my local Windows machine. The
solr.log reports many warnings when trying to add lib dirs. to classloader. Is
this a Windows specific problem? Where do I correct this path?

Hi all,
when testing the upgrade to Dspace 5.3 I again encountered many problems with
OAI. Identify worked, and it would list Sets, but any request for ListRecords
would result in No matches for this query. In the end I tracked it down to a
typo in build.properties that resulted in an
Hi all,
I am preparing the upgrade to DSpace 5.3 and noticed a NullpointerException in
Tomcat localhost logfiles. Is this related to the Jira DS-2078? That should
have been fixed in version 5.0. Despite the warnings in the log, I finally
managed to get OAI working.

Thanks for the info Tim, I appreciate it.
I'm not sure how accurate the usage stats are, I just noticed that the parent
community views does not = the total of the sub-community views.

Hi-
Can someone tell me what the Statistics option is in the Administrative
panel, is it different then the Usage Statistics and whatnot in the
Statistics section?

When I click on it I get the message:

It has always been enabled on our site.
I took a peek at the statistics config files, and I cannot find an entry
that would disable the option.

The Administrative Statistics are the (very old) legacy DSpace
statistics pulled from log files, which pre-dated the Usage Statistics
(based on Solr). They are only generated by running these commandline
options:
[dspace]/bin/dspace stat-initial
[dspace]/bin/dspace stat-general
I have found the 2 statistics menu options confusing as well.
When I click on Administrative-Statistics, I see repository-wide stats.

I also see a list of monthly reports.

Hi,
Just for completeness, I have now solved the problem I was having using the CC

Hello all,
I have found the problem, and it is a result of some local development we had
done. I should have searched my own email for the fix, as we have seen it
before!
