Chris,
No, by default does not always refer to the XMLUI. There is no
default interface for DSpace.
However, in this situation, the wording in the documentation *is*
misleading. It should instead state:
In the XMLUI, by default, when a license is selected in the interface,

Hello all,
Has anyone done work on Advanced Embargo functionality for JSPUI 4.x?
If so please share.

Hello all,
I'd like to add system-generated standardized metadata to my collections.
JSPUI 4.x allows me to set Default Item Metadata for a collection using the
collection wizard.
How would I add Default Item Metadata to a collection created in XMLUI 4.x or
XMLUI 5.0?
Thanks for your time,
Thanks to Emilio for the clarification.
Is Emilio correct that in the documentation by default frequently
means XMLUI and not jspui?

I believe I have found the answer to my own question.
It seems that the documentation applies to XMLUI and not to JSPUI. The
DOI link is created correctly in XMLUI only.

Thanks. I will try that.
I can't find reference to the configuration “dc.identifier.doi(doi)” in

Hi Tim,
Thanks so much. Sorry for not mentioning the DSpace version, we're using v.
4.1, so Discovery is the enabled engine. I'll tell the staff how it works
and how to force the AND logic. Thanks again!

Hi,
It has been proposed by our staff to change the way DSpace searches terms
on XMLUI. By default, it uses OR logic, so if more than one term is
entered, any of them will be matched. Is there a simple way to change that
behavior so if more than one word is entered in the search box only items
Hi,
What version of DSpace are you using?
The most recent versions of DSpace (4.x and 5.x) both use Discovery
(based on Solr) for searching. This means they actually perform
weighted/relevancy searches.
So, if you search on multiple words, items which have both words
(essentially an AND)
Oh, wow :).
Thanks for breaking that down for me.
Cheers,
Courtney.

I am in the process of upgrading dspace from version 4.2 to 5. My mvn

Hi Admire
Just a quick one. Did you optimise indexes before upgrading?

It was resolved by setting Bower and Npm proxy variables.

Hey all,
Is there a reason for having all those lib dir includes in
../solr/authority/conf/solrconfig.xml? They all seem to lead to a warning
after fresh install, but I might be missing something...
The last one is at least bit funny...
