Fred, There's not an easy way to export a Solr/Lucene index. However, there is a tool called Luke, which allows you to browse/view the contents of any Solr/Lucene index: http://code.google.com/p/luke/ We also have a page on our wiki which talks a bit more about how you can use Luke to view

Hi Josh, Check your filesystem permissions (chmod/chown). Such that your tomcat user (tomcat5 or dspace), has full read permissions to your dspace directory. This might not be the case here, but check your dspace/config/xmlui.xconf has the path to your theme correct, and that it ends in a slash.
