Sorry for late reply, Vlastik, have you resolved your issue?
There are many possibilities why getSpecialGroup could be missing the
headers, usually associated with apache config as well as your SP
config, some possible reasons:
1) switching between https to http
2) tomcat re-creating new sessions
Sorry for late reply, YIva, have you resolved your issue?
Could you try to put on dspace.cfg and re-test again?
webui.session.invalidate = false
If not, try to see if the below email that I sent for similar case
applies to you. Obviously you will need to debug and find out why the

Hi:
I use harvester of dspace 1.7 to get content from another dspace instance.
I have some questions:
1. Can I get the intermediate resource map of ore?
The manual says:

# If using oai, the dspace.oai.uri config

Look in dspace.log wherever you are writing your dspace log files and see if
there is any detailed information in there regarding the error. If not, check
your web server log.
Hope this helps,
Sue

Hi all,
Perhaps a better example might help here.
I have a top level community - Faculty of Engineering and Computing - in
this community there is a sub-community - School of Civil Engineering.
The faculty dean has administrative privileges on the collections

Hello,
I have recently installed dspace 1.7.0 But I am unable to perform range
query searches. I have turned on Discovery as outlined in the documentation.
For example the search var:[10 TO 20] with keyword var of type sint
indexed within the range 10 TO 20 produced no results. But when I do a

Hi Mark,
As far as I'm aware, this should be functioning properly in DSpace 1.6.0
or above. At least we've had no other reports of bugs in this area, from
what I can find.
Can you provide us with more information about your setup? Are you
running XMLUI or JSPUI? If XMLUI, what Theme are you
Claudia,
Thanks for the answer, this looks very promising.
I found the documentation useful, but did not cover all my questions. I googled
and found this:

This is a more extensive document about the subject. I think
Kocisky,
I'm actually at a loss for what exactly could be causing this problem

Are you running Oracle's (Sun's) Java? You need to make sure you are
running that version of Java, and not the one that comes
Hi Tim,
To give a little more details what I am trying to do:
A user who is a community admin is trying to add a bitstream to an item.
This item has up to now no bitstreams. When she opens the upload a new
bitstream page the only type of bundle she is presented with is License.

Mark,
Aha. Now I understand. This is a reported issue with 1.6.2:
https://jira.duraspace.org/browse/DS-678
I'd encourage you to add your additional comments to that issue, and/or
'vote' for that issue. Unfortunately this is a known issue at this
time (and still exists in 1.7.0). We need to

I've noticed that when a user clicks the Start a New Submission button, the

Hello List,
Recently we have upgraded our Dspace instance from 1.4.2 to 1.6.2,
The statistics were showing up until August 2010, this was the last time we ran
the stat in the bin.
To update this I ran the stat from the bin and they did run fine without error,
But when I login to check the results
We're using DSpace 1.6.2 and I recently noticed that browse by author
does not work if the author's name includes a comma (all of our
authors do) and accented characters. Here is an example:

yes you should mend this, as you now will be unable to delete collections,
