Heelo DSpacers,
I have a strange problem on DSpace 5.2. Members of the epersongroup 7
should be allowed to publish something in collection number 1.
When I login as eperson #3 (which is a member of group #7), this is
detected correctly, if I understand my debug trace correctly.

Hi
Hope I find you well. One of my Libraries has embarked on the process of
digitizing geographical maps by maps by scanning large maps onto a large
SUN storage. The maps are accessible via an IP address. I would like to have
an application that allows users to browse and search for the maps.
Hi All,

Gmail, yahoo etc. It gives the error message * Unable to send email to this

Thank you Adan,
I was able to confirm that my modifications are really not getting to the
compiled code, does anyone know if I have to re do a full build after each
change? Because im doing just the quick build.
Or maybe another problem that im not aware of?

Hello again,
I'll reply to myself because I have additional information about this issue.
Its not, that submission does not work at all. As a locally registered
user I can use a link to http://dspace-instance/submit?collection=1
and get the submission form for collection #1.
But when I use
Hi Arthur,
Yes, if you modify the source code under [dspace-src]/dspace-api/ you
MUST do a full build for those changes to take effect. The full build
does a recompile of all source code, and will rebuild each of the JARs.
Once the JAR has been rebuilt though, you can run quick builds in
Hi Arthur,
To fully rebuild your DSpace you need to do the following
-- run the following command to compile the source code of the project
cd [dspace-source]/dspace/
mvn compile
-- then rebuild the DSpace installation package by running the following
command from your [dspace-source]/

Hi George,
The bug described in DS-2602 definitely exists in 5.2. So, it's really
up to you and your users can live with it for a brief period of
time...or you can manually apply the Pull Request to your local
installation to fix it locally, if you want to upgrade to 5.2 but don't
want to
Thank you, Tim:
I will manually apply the Pull Request. Thank you for the information.

Hi George,
To me, this sounds very similar to DS-2602:
https://jira.duraspace.org/browse/DS-2602
While 2602 describes this as clicking on a letter, it's actually
performing the same sort of jump to that would occur if you entered
something into the Starts with box and pressed Go.
I'm able
Tim:
This is exactly what I am seeing. We were planning on going live with DSpace
5.2 this week or next week. Would you recommend that I wait until 5.3 is ready?
