Oh yes. It would be great if you could start a wiki page on that. I once tried to jetty but did not get it up within a reasonable time. I think that the docs available for tomcat are much more helpful and also error messages give clearer hints for the novice. As with every software that is developed as the one thing to solve it all there is use for a slim version of tomcat. We see a similar thing happen with apache and light-httpd. Although apache is really good in what it does, people feel that in many cases a fraction of the functionality would suffice - like a small car for the city. And, if everybody runs the same setup, then DSpace will eventually loose its independence of specific JSP Container implementation because nobody finds out about problems that only show up with other containers. So yes, a howto for jetty would be great. We can add specific details for other operating systems later if you just start with the description of your environment. I dont think that this in any way related to manakin even if you tried it while working with manakin. Am I right?
