OK, I've been merrily burning CDs for a while now on a CD-RW drive, and just got a cheap DVD+/-R drive. If I try to burn a DVD-R (real or dummy mode), it doesn't even start burning (error below). I've also tried cdrecord.dvdpro under xcdroast with the same error [and I've updated the drive
