have the clue. I'm looking for a good 2D graphics card from a manufacturer
that supports linux drivers that work. I used Matrox all the years but the
provided drivers don't run anymore with the latest version of xorg.

Here it's a modification of Nibble's patch for dwm tip version that permits to
select visible clients by clicking on the taskbar. That way we can have a
fully functional taskbar.
This patch is useful when working on floating or monocle layouts using

FWIW the Intel cards are the first batch to support the kernel
modesetting stuff in 2.6.29, specifically the i915 driver.
