For a medium that naysayers like to write-off, radio is still a pretty appealing business. It's no wonder that the FCC reports there are 15,406 full-power radio stations on the air. That's a slight 0.3% increase from the prior record set three months earlier. The number of AMs fell to 4,725 at the end of first quarter, the latest in what has been a steady decline.
