Is Les (WF5E) of WF5E DX-QSL Service still in business?
I have been unable to access his webpage (for weeks) and no reply to email.
Thanks for any info.

Personally I very much prefer the SASE...it sure makes it easier on me and A
LOT faster turnaround.
I also find ONE card with ALL QSOs on the one card is much preferred. I
have no intention of using
LOTW or EQSLtoo late in the game for me.
Just my 2 cents.

Charlie,
I heard you work them on 30 this morning...congrats.
There has been a lot of criticism about the KH8SI team but I am sure
they are doing their best under the present conditions. Yes, I've heard
them working hundreds of JA's but after just listening to the 30 meter
pileup this morning

Hi Rod,
We snagged KL7 (Alaska) on 6 meters from our FD station (northwest Georgia)
on Saturday evening. We were running the IC7000 and a 5 el Yagi on a push
up pole. Ten meters was also very good at 11PM our time. 73

Anyone know what might have happened to the
Rockall Island IOTA group?
They were on 14260 around 1330Z-1500Z and then
abruptly disappeared.
I guess it could have been a pirate but appeared
to be legit.
Just curious.

Good Morning,
A very good ham friend of mine will be in the
Pretoria area (Midrand) fortraining from
February 28 thru April 8, 2005. Are there
any Pretoria hams that would meet (and
hopefully be able to spend some time) with
him. His free time would be primarily in

Hi Ron,
I have IOTA OC-200 by Mike, KM9D/KH8 5 6 NOV 2002 on 40 and 20 CW. Log
notation says Swain Island. Not sure if this is the same, but it seems it
would be quite a coincidence if it was a different one. I guess at that
time it counted only for IOTA? At least it appears Swains Island
Just curious how widespread the reception is of
the pulsing noise heard here in Georgia on the low end of 40 meters? I
hear it every morning from roughly 1100Z to probably 1300Z. It seems to
have a "center" around 7015 but can hear it from just below 7000 up to
7035kHz. It has what I would

Nigel (G3TXF) and Roger (G3SXW) are, in my opinion, not only the propagation
magicians of this decade, but they are Ham Radio's answer to the Energizer

impossible and it appears that they never sleep.
I don't know if

Hey Ron and the Gangue,
I'm not complaining (really) but band
conditions here in northwest Georgia are so bad that eventhe CW sidetone
in my rig is weak, has QSB and flutter! I don't remember the bands being
so bad since we got "lights" and indoor

It saddens me to read all of the negative comments

John,
Well stated!
I'm afraid we (the DX community) are but an example of the problems in
society today which in my humble opinion can, to a great degree, be traced
to the issue of greed. This is reflected in the often noted criticisms of
DXpeditions. Rather than being grateful at having the
Hi J,
Well, as an active QSL manager, and an avid DXer, I must say I am personally

maybe Roosevelt that said All generalities are false, including this one.
While it may possibly be true in some rare instances, I think your

Good point Zack and I still prefer .. .
After 50 years of DXing, I am still trying to find the REAL meaning of QSLL.
It can mean only two things (I think)...I will send my card first or I will
wait for your card. It seems about a 50/50 split as to the real meaning.
I've never seen it written
Very well stated Scott!
Let's make this Honor Roll thing easy enough so we
can all make it without much effortheck maybe we could even make it
automatic for those who have been active DX'ers for at least 10 years.
Then after 20, one would automatically be added to the "Top of the List".
