Folks, received the following from NN2C's son regarding Marty's passing. I
corresponded with Marty several times, but in the last month realized I worked
with his son. Marty was, i believe, the current president of the Long Island

Just a short update. I'm still waiting QSL cards from the printer, which was
organized by the DXpedition. I've printed most of the labels, and as soon as
the cards arrive, I'll begin the next level of fun.
I have yet to do a number of log searches for the gaps in the logs, and as soon
as the
Folks,
For what it's worth...I just got off the phone with my local postal folks, and
they faxed me a note from the Newark NJ Stamp Distribution office, which states
that there is a Postal bulletin concerning IRCS, which states, The Postal
Service will no longer redeem IRC's issued prior to

contact with the YX0A team. Very sad news in that Jose YV5LIX passed away
during the operation. My condolences to Jose family and to the YX0LIX team.
As I receive more information, I'll pass it along to the DX

First come first serve. Can do Paypal (non-credit card) or check/money order.
Send me a note

It appears that the first class stamp is going from 37 to 39 cents early next
year. Anyone hearing anything about the foreign postage. Staying same,
increasing? It's been 80 cents for a long time!
Trying to game the best use of IRCs, both old and new, as the new year comes
near!

I've got a small quantity of the new style IRCs that have NO stamp on them.
THe stamp says optional, so they're good (i've taken them to the post office
before!) but some hams don't like to deal with them.
If you're comfortable with them, I'll let them go at $1.00 each, in quantities
of 25,

Ok...now for the follow up...has there been ANY of the new IRCs issued with a
expiration beyond 12/31/2006. We're coming on that point fast..especially
given the way IRCs tend to be 'recycled'.

It would be IDEAL if the LOTW database were able to be queried by various award
organizations, or at least have the system generate a report applicable for an
award.
I have uploaded a lot of the logs I have to LOTW. I am already getting folks
that use eQSL asking me to do the same there.
Hi all,
I'm looking for two good air variable capactitors, transmitting types
of reasonable air gap, say 200 to 250 pF max for VR2BG, who is
trying to shunt load his tower for the upcoming contest season.
Also looking for one 6 pF 2 kV ceramic cap.
I checked my junque box and came up empty.
