http://www.artwolfe.com/archive/tips_02.html
NEVER NEVER EVER put film in your suitcase - those X-ray machines WILL KILL it.
Put it in your carry-on instead. It's often OK to let film go through the

I may be missing something, but using your logic, a new guy could NEVER
get to the top of the all time list as there are entities he couldn't
possibly work as these entities are on the deleted list. The current method
levels the playing field as available entities are available to all.
Looks like everyone can be happy IF: old-timers are allowed to keep their
all-time acquired entity number but they and everyone else will be top of
the honor roll only by confirming all CURRENT entities. The honor of
carrying deleted entities remains but does not count toward top of honor
overnight.

Hello Charles,
Perhaps I just happened to hit it right , but I had no problem in
working the guys at AH3D on 10 through 80 meters within 1 to 5 calls.
The only exception was 17 meters, where I had no propagation and could
only hear a whisper.

Evening Charles, K4VUD:
Fortunately I found just the reverse of your bad luck. My timing must have
been just right on the AH3D fellows. I worked them on all bands, 160-10
Meters, and never spent more than 5 minutes on any band 80-10 Meters. It
took me two days on 160. Hi
My timing and luck must
I couldn't work them on 17 to save my axx in spite of a KW and antenna
at 70'. I did get them on 30 and 12 meters with 100 watts though. Go
figure.
You are right though, it was tough to follow their patterns. Don't ask
me why but it always seemed they were where I wasn't.

I know about the interference. Bill and I were having a 20 meter QSO Sunday
morning on 14220 when he wasn't in the 160 contest and some stateside station
down below us was splattering 10 kcs. wide either

I don't hear it now but it's much later than your post (0436Z, 15 Jan).
Your description sounds a little like what we've dubbed the Chicken
around here. The Chicken makes a sound sort of like bwuk bwuk bwuk
bwuk bwawk. Did it sound like that?

I worked CX2AD, first CX on 80 meters, in the CQ WW CW Contest
29 November 1986 and sent my card direct and got a quick reply.
I see that the addresses now are different in Buckmaster and QRZ,
and I have no idea which one is correct. In 1986 it was the address
''paper'' callbook I used...
