I would not count on a diskette as the only backup. Over the years I have
thrown away many bad diskettes. My log-file is 18M+ so it will not fit on a
diskette even if I zipped it. I do not want to span the zipped file over a
couple of diskettes either. I have burnt my log-file on a CD. For those
Hi all,
I have seen many messages about V 6.02. I am upgrading from V 5.03, and
now have the licence key (thanks to Steve for quick reply). May I ask
some questions, I will install V6.02 on my comp (Windows XP).
1, I understand that this will NOT overwrite existing version,

vekHi,
I have my dx4win running on a laptop with a PCMCIA slot. I use a 64M =
flashcard for backing up the log. I have a .bat file in the windows =
desktop and it copies the needed files to the flashcard in 1-2 seconds.

I actively chase new band/mode QSOs. Right now (6.01), there is no
spot color that will tell me that I have never worked the spotted station
on a particular band/mode (eg. 80m CW). It makes perfect sense to
me that DX4WIN should be able to tell me that. If the inverse video

Tried to get the QSL info external data feature working...but have had no luck.
Anyone have any clues? What strings are you using?

Hi,
I follow this list quite closely and don't believe that I've seen the query
below covered.

Don't forget that those DX4WIN.CTY files may have valuable stuff in them,
namely callsign to country mappings and QSL managers. If you've been

Still would like some more (attaching your DX4WIN.CTY file works
best). I've got a lot of sorting to do!

What you are missing is the recent changes in the DXCC program that now give
credit for 18 separate DXCC awards.
This is the game for many dxers.
Modes for MIXED, PHONE, CW, RTTY are the primary awards up to and including
DXCC Honor Roll. Bands from 160 meters to 2 meters and Satellite qualify
I have some questions.
1. I am a new user of DX4WIN and would like to be able to find a simple
slot to id where I got the contact. i.e. a DX net, etc
2. I want to sort my log by Call, or Country, but can not seem to get it
easily. I would like to print out a list of all of my contacts by
