Hello,
I had a Yaesu FT1000D working one time with dx4win. Now I have another and am
getting "Radio timed out" message.
Using K1NU interface and keying works fine. Also everything works in Writelog
no problem.
Settings Address = 00 with default checked
Baud rate =4800 with default checked
              Poll rate =5000
              DTR high = not checked
              RTS high = checked
I am on Com one same as with Writelog.
Someone please remove my blinders!
Thank you for any help.

I don't use COM keying, so I'm not sure, but I'd check the settings
on the DX4WIN Preferences CW tab. You need to specify there if the
DTR or RTS line is being used to generate the CW. You may be sending
the CW on the control line that needs to be on continuously to power
the interface unit. If the interface is powered from DTR line, you
should have that box checked and the RTS line set for keying in the
CW setup window. Be sure these settings are "harmonized".

$20 or so will get you a WinKey that avoids all those problems. at
the expense of another COM port or a cheapo USB to RS-232 converter.
I highly recommend this solution.
