The only time I have encountered Thread errors are with COM port misconfiguration... however you encountered an error when attempting to write the file so it might be an IO error. You don't mention which OS you were using. Without more information it is hard to guess at the problem... but I

Windows give a number in every souncard they have. Default is what the windows have choised in there soundmanager. Experiment with 0,1,2,3. One of them is your sigmalink usb card. Unfortunately i don;t know a way to find what number your system gave to the usb soundcard. kostas sv1dpi -

They are different issues Radi. The Demo bug I believe was around in ver 6 also... but it has been a while so I am not sure. The Thread Error I believe is only in ver 7... (at least I never saw it earlier) but I have never heard of it happening unless there is a hardware/configuration issue. I

OK.., then you have proven that the card works from DX4Win. I suspect that when you are using card 1,2 or 3 you have not set the mixer application correctly. I think Jim is correct, it should be card 1... I have 2 sound cards and that is what I use... If you have WSPR... if you run it, it will

My all files are archive but DX4WIN still reverts to Demo mode from time to time. When started, it always finds and loads the last log file used and reverts to Demo after some time of use. So, wo2n had a particular problem that was solved by making files archive , but it doesn't mean the issue

What will be really nice is to have a pull down menu on the main screen where you can choose a radio on the fly, while you can specify multiple radios in the program setting as to what radio is hooked up to what serial port, etc. This will enable the DX4WIN to work with more than the two radios

I recommend getting a USB thumb drive for these kinds of transfers. Even the 4GB ones are now fairly cheap, and is more than enough storage for DX4WIN. It avoids the read/write problelms you had. Plus, you won't have to throw it away when you're done, like you would with a used CD. 73 - Jim AD1C

If I recall correctly, in the PSK window, there's a way to right-click somewhere to change the settings. This lets you set the sound card for PSK (by sound card #). I don't remember exactly how, or how this would apply to RTTY. Remember that -1 is the default system soundcard. The built-in
