I would have to agree with you as to the source of the problem. Here I
have an HP OfficeJet G55 inkjet printer with the duplex printing
attachment and it is capable of duplicating everything I have here
except DX4WIN.

Same deal here, Pete. I also have an HP printer but different model.
The printer settings seem to be ignored or overridden.
