I need some help and or advice, I am setting up to control my FT1000 Mark V by
DX4WIN Version 7.13.16

I setted up on Preference, happens that DX4win is polling the radio ( I see the
Cat Light coming on on Mark V ) but after some try it goes OFF saying :
Radio Timed out Radio interface has been disabled.....

Any suggestions and or help Please

Happy New Year

Subject: [Dx4win] native Elecraft radio support
Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

I have an Elecraft K2 that is now 8 years old.

When it was new, there weren't many K2 rigs out there. Today, however, there
are well over 6,000 others like it!

The new K3 has a multi-month backlog of orders. I've used one -- and can't
wait for mine to arrive. It may be just as well, since the well-north-of $3k
price tag will take some time to get ready for!

So, the Elecraft line is, by any account, a popular radio, and not inexpensive
as such things go. This is an active market of enthusiastic users, and seems
like it would be a good pool of new users to pursue.

Sadly, I see that with the latest version V7.03, Elecraft's interface is not
yet natively supported by DX4WIN. Because of this omission, many, perhaps most
Elecraft users, have migrated towards logging programs that do have such
support. However, I don't find them to be as useful to me as DX4WIN is, and I
have heard this from others as well. Like I said, an untapped market.

The Kenwood 850 radio definition allows the use of most, but not all, of the
Elecraft interface capabilities. (It is a superset of the Kenwood command
set.) That's how I use the rig now with DX4WIN. While I'm not a programmer,
it does seem like this sound basis, plus the clear documentation available from
Elecraft, would allow a rapid creation of a native radio support selection.

Provided this technical assumption is true, is there any plan to make such a
native-support capability available?

The mailing lists on qth.net don't have searchable archives.

Look in the late December archives. You probably have the latest version
with a bug that has been found. AD1C had a message on how to keep the issue
from happening. After you make the update for FJ, exit DX4WIN. Then go in
and check your log. If you do not, your US items become another country
without states and states are lost. AD1C may have put the info on his
website for DX4WIN too.

I have an older version, so did not have the issue.

Subject: [Dx4win] Missed states

Hi all,

since the last FJ modification I think I have missed my US states data. I
use to have 48 states worked/confirmed, but I am seeing that still need DE
and OK, and I am sure I have them all worked/confirmed, but I can remember
the stations..!!
OK for DE, I know AA1K Jon is from there, but I do have others. In the case
of OK, boys, I am lost there, how can I do to find the stations I have
worked from OK..? If I have to cross-check every contact with QRZ.COM it
will take me veeeery long..! Any help welcome..
