The 7300 can be set up to be controlled by both the USB port and the
CI-V jack with two different programs at the same time.
I run DX4WIN on my 7300 using the CI-V port. I also use WSJT-X on the
USB port for audio and rig control. Once set up right, they work well
together. The trick
I run multiple programs at the same time on the one serial control line to
my radio using a virtual serial port application. It allows you to run
multiple programs at one time off of one line to your radio. It can be
challenging to get multiple programs set up and running off of the virtual
serial
you what you
need special (but can't click to move radio to freq in DX4WIN).
