I have been converting Writelog contest logs to ADIF within Writelog, and
then importing them into DX4WIN. A current thread on the WL reflector
discloses that State info is listed in the WL ADIF under QTH:2 and that
DX4WIN does not import that information.

Of course, as soon as I sent the request for help, I realized the solution:
I had substituted STATE for QTH:2 as a column header. In fact, the :2 is
necessary so I substituted STATE:2 for QTH:2 for each QSO in the ADIF
file, and that came over to DX4WIN correctly. Canadian provinces also come
I'm trying to import the ARRL DX CW Contest ADIF (arl.adi) log file from =

I selected the ADIF file in the Import/Export file menu, but the =

Thanks to N6KJ, who gave me the answer to importing the log file
from CTWIN. I opened the log file window and then found the ADIF
file to import. The Import menu item was no longer grayed out.
All 514 QSOs were imported.

The Backup directory is not normally used.
You should perform your own backup of important DX4WIN files to a diskette
