Filter -> Search [F8], type in the start date in the date field.
Depending on the QSO Date Searching setting in the preferences (Exact,
Greater Equal, Range), you might get another prompt. Verify all your
QSOs are displayed as required. If not, change the setting in the
preferences  then repeat. Finally, Export to ADIF and only the filtered
QSOs will be exported.

Re: [Dx4win] Upload transfered band data wrong

2019-02-18 Thread John, K9EL
How did you transfer your log?

Please use the IMPORT function and select DX4WIN4.

If you have the current version simply read your Version 4 DXL file, errors
will occur.

[Dx4win] Fwd: error messages upon Saving Data

2019-02-18 Thread Tom Doligalski via DX4WIN
Steve:

I tried to respond directly to you on your previous message from last week, but
never got a response.

If you are running Windows 10, it is quite possible that “Controlled Folder
Access” has been turned on during an update. You can either turn this feature
off in WIN10, or list dx4win.exe as an exception (if you do this you’ll
probably need to do the same thing for other programs like TQSL, etc.).

Under windows settings go to windows and security, then to windows security and
then to virus and threat protection. Go to virus and threat protection and page
down to the “Controlled Folder Access” settings.

Good luck!

Re: [Dx4win] Contest log program with IC-7300

2019-02-18 Thread Ernie

Jay,

The 7300 can be set up to be controlled by both the USB port and the
CI-V jack with two different programs at the same time.

I run DX4WIN on my 7300 using the CI-V port. I also use WSJT-X on the
USB port for audio and rig control. Once set up right, they work well
together. The trick is to set the radio for "CI-V USB port, "unlink from
Remote".

K0PIR has some good 7300 tutorials on youtube that can help.

This one he shows how to use two log and control programs at once:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cn9m-6J9EG0

Other videos:

[Dx4win] need help

2019-02-18 Thread steve sala
I recently tried to make some changes and save them and I get the famous error
message. I sent an original HELP request weeks ago. I go through what it
required until it comes back that I do not have an email app associated with
it. I Googled “how to associate an email program with an app” and did it and
it still does not work. Of course, I may have screwed that up too.

I cannot make changes and save the program. I save in two places, one in the
hard drive under DX4WIN’s SAVE folder and to a thumb drive. That thumb drive
is defined in the preferences as (k:/). In fact I changed thumb drives just
in case with no positive results..

My program is 9.0.4.1176
I cannot use the program so what do I do?

Re: [Dx4win] CW Keyer using LPT3

Hi John,

Did you load the LPT port driver? From the DX4Win web page:

If you need access to the LPT port, run the LPTDriver program in the
drivers sub-directory; you will need to do that as administrator and
restart the computer when done.

Good luck

Re: [Dx4win] Contest log program

2019-02-18 Thread Tim moore
I run multiple programs at the same time on the one serial control line to
my radio using a virtual serial port application. It allows you to run
multiple programs at one time off of one line to your radio. It can be
challenging to get multiple programs set up and running off of the virtual
serial port application, but well worth it.

Re: [Dx4win] Contest log program

2019-02-18 Thread Dan Violette
You do have to stop the radio in DX4WIN if you run both programs together so
the contest program can use the radio control. I also use N1MM+ then ADIF
export and then import into DX4WIN. No program is going to log into DX4WIN so
you are really just using DX4WIN for the cluster spots telling you what you
need special (but can't click to move radio to freq in DX4WIN).
