Yup. That's just how it works. Just verified when I imported my 0300Z
CWT log. Thanks for the info.

It only takes three mouse clicks to clear the eQSL uploads. Not worth fussing
about.

I think you need to uncheck the upload flag box in AD1C software.
Possibly this uncheck the lotw flag as well.

There is always the option to clear eqsl upload flags after import. In qso
window go to eqsl>clear eqsl upload flag. This is for entire log.
Differently do a search first.

Re: [Dx4win] Converted ADIF import sets eQSL flag

2021-12-08 Thread Randy Farmer
Thanks for the input, guys. I agree this really isn't a "problem" at
all. I was just curious to see if anyone else had noticed it. I
definitely want to set the LoTW Upload flag for the newly imported QSOs.
Kostas, I suspect you may be correct that Jim's utility sets both flags,
since it only has a single checkbox for "Upload". That setting is
probably redundant, since in my DX4WIN preferences I've checked the LoTW
Upload box. When I import my log from the 0300Z CWops CWT session I'll
experiment with unchecking the Upload box in the conversion utility and
see what happens. I have been routinely clearing the eQSL flags using
the DX4WIN menu operation after each import since I first noticed the
behavior.

Re: [Dx4win] Converted ADIF import sets eQSL flag

2021-12-08 Thread WA7AA

Lately I have been noticing that every time I import such logs all
QSOs end up having the eQSL Upload flag set. I always have to run the
DX4WIN routine to clear these upload flags. I finally did a careful
analysis of the situation and determined that the eQSL flag is indeed
being set on import. I can't tell if the flag is being set by the
conversion utility or if the program is erroneously setting the flag
on import. Has anyone else encountered this problem in importing data
from other sources?

But why is that a problem? In other words, what difference does it make
whether eQSL flags are checked or unchecked if you don't participate in
the eQSL program?

[Dx4win] Converted ADIF import sets eQSL flag

2021-12-08 Thread Randy Farmer
I don't care to participate in eQSL, so I've set my program preferences
to NOT set the eQSL Upload flag when a new entry is added to the log.
The vast majority of the data is add to my log is imported from contest
QSOs logged in N1MM+. At the end of each contest, I export the log in
ADIF format. I then use AD1C's very useful ADIF to DX4WIN conversion
utility (currently version 9.8) to generate a DX4WIN version 9 dxq file
that I import into DX4WIN.

Lately I have been noticing that every time I import such logs all QSOs

Hello Henk,

Yes, easy to do that. From the Menu bar at top:
File > Preferences > QSO
In the Label/Upl flag window, uncheck QSL Card
