I use a compaq PC with a built in sound chip ESS Technologies ES1869F.
It is supposed to run of a 14.31818Mhz clock. When I measured the clock
input to the sound chip I measured 14.31954Mhz using a frequency counter.
The problem I have is, I have garbled text displayed even on strong signals.

pin 11 = Sense 0

I have the qrz.com cd running fine in dx4win, but when i saved the disc
into my harddrive every time i search a callsign the entire program launches is
there a way round this? I have also RAC callbook in the harddrive and it
works fine ie just puts the data in the callsign/manager
Here is a big problem for me but a small one for some. My DX4Win crashed and
I lost my log. Not a big deal as I only had 380 some contacts logged. What I
did was went in and reentered all of the cards that I have. I did loose all
the contacts that were not confirmed but that just makes me have
backup. Using =
normal diskette stops the PC for 1-2 seconds, with flashcard you don't =
notice the backup copy.

I am trying to set up a 'Worked All Pacific' award.
I have added the text to the end of the dx4win.awd file in the 'save'

I have just upgraded a computer from Win98SE to xP with the idea of then
going up to version 6. BUT I now get the message;
Cannot open CW Driver.
As a backup I copied the complete directory from the Radio Computer to the
Office machine. The CW Keyer works fine from this second machine
Although it costs a bit more, I find that Buckmaster Hamcall is worth it.
You now get 6 free months of internet updates. If you are looking for old
calls, I have traced as many as four callsign changes (US calls); with RAC
you're lucky to get one - usually you just don't find the call. I
